On Oct. 9th, 2007, Furniture.com announced that it has acquired FurnitureFind.com without disclosing terms of the deal. According to the PR, the existing customers of FurnitureFind will have their orders fulfilled. If you look on the FurnitureFind website, many of the products are showing as ‘out of stock’ so the companies are quickly switching to Furniture.com’s model of fulfilling orders through local retailers. The press release is published on FurnitureFind.com but nothing of it is mentioned at Furniture.com, not even on their press page.
Does anyone have any comments on what this means for eCommerce in the furniture industry?
